Draculoot – A PvP Battle Royale Board Game Adventure
As a game designer for Draculoot, I had the opportunity to bring an innovative tabletop experience to life. This PvP exploration game, inspired by the mechanics of battle royale games, features a modular tile system and a distinct punk-inspired art direction.
My contributions to the project included:
- Designing and refining game mechanics to ensure engaging and balanced gameplay.
- Prototyping the game and organizing Quality Assurance (QA) sessions to identify areas for improvement.
- Balancing gameplay elements to deliver a fair yet competitive experience for players.
- Acting as a bridge between the game design and art teams, ensuring the visual identity complemented the mechanics while preserving a cohesive and unique aesthetic.
- Assisting with project management, keeping our team of 11 collaborators—5 game designers and 6 game artists—aligned and productive.
- Using Miro for collaborative brainstorming and preparing key presentations using PowerPoint and Photoshop.
- Honing my public speaking skills by presenting our project to a large audience, including a panel of industry professionals.
Draculoot was an incredible collaborative effort that showcased my ability to manage creative processes, innovate within genre conventions, and deliver a polished, award-winning product.
